Makeup Exploration
I drew some other ideas that I feel would have been interesting to experiment with.
I decided to create a design where it created the illusion that technology was under the skin. In this design i focused on the idea of a clockwork heart. This is a different type of mechanic than explored previously and feel that it could create a very detailed sculpt ot painting. I then included some wire around it as if there were the veins and arterials that supply the heart with blood. The skin around the design would either have to be built up and the use of shadow and highlighting applied to make the inside look deeper into the skin. I would use a male model, due to the positioning of the piece on the body and feel that it would be easier to work on a flatter surface.
I liked the outcome of the robotic neck body paint that i had previously produced. I feel that this idea could have been explored futher and perhaps with the creation of a prosthetic neck piece to made it more 3D. This would therefore be more suitable for performances as it would have a 360 effect.
It would require taking a neck cast of a model and then using a 2 part mould in two pieces, so that the piece would accurately fit around the neck.
Different textures could also be explored, such as leather or a shiny surface to replicate metal, as shown in my previous makeup ideas.
