Naomi Campbell in a model within a series influenced by robots by Seb Janiak. The face is a flawless silver colour, and contrasting green contact lenses and burgandy/red lips. She appears to be wearing a bald cap.

Apart from her features, there is not much depth to the face as it has been painted all one colour.

The silver eye makeup produces a metal appearance. I like how the eyebrows have been covered and shadows have been added in black to add depth ans shape. There is a contrast between plain makeup and heavy eyes that produces more of a futurist image.

Ths piece shows a women that has a doll-like face and robtic shaped body. The face is flawless and has a neautral tone all over. The hair follows a similar colour to the body and has been pulled precisely back from the face. The lines mimic the bodys natural form but its more stimple and structures to resemble parts.

This piece shows a complete body painting. No prosthetics have been included and it just involves the creation of shapes and depth with paint. Against the black background adds to the effect as changes the body shape slightly to create a more structured appearance. Silver paint has mostly been used to resemble a shell or skin, and gold  to show the working mechanics underneath.

Here shows a cyborg character, She has mechanics ontop and also intergrated into the body. For the head a bald cap had been applied and the eyebrows blocked out to create a more un earthly creature. the skin tone has also been changed and there is sections that look 'infected' perhaps due to the intergrated technology. I like this idea of the organic possibly rejecting the implantations.

This digital painting shows a female robot, it includes the same features and shaping as a human but sections have cut in lines. This makes the face apear as if its made up in parts. Again there is glowing blue coour from the eyes and forehead piece. I feel that this could be achieve by painting or the use as prosthetics.

This image reminds me of the robots within I-robot of having a translucent shield over the mechanics. I feel that a plastic casing could be applied over the top of a makeup to achieve this look.

Here is digital painting, while the  idea of intergrated technology. Again there is a glowing colour to the inorganic elements. There is a smooth finish so produces the appearance of a robot rather than a cyborg. I like the use of structure and colour within the hair.

Here shows some prosthetic impants into the spin. Some of the sections glow blue, and others are more sutle lines fading into the skin. The middle section is very structured and resemble computer parts. Further down there is also some implants that are completed cover by skin and it just shows an abnormal shape.

I found image very interesting as the man himself looks as if he is being controlled and then only one section shows the mechanics of where should be a heart. The cut out follows the structure of the body and therefore makes it look more believable. A 'cut in' effect could be produced by prosthetic by building up the surround area.

Again this image had been digitally manipulated, however I feel that it could be achieved with the use of prosthetics by folding the around out of sight (similar to the cut of finger effect) then a piece could be applied to the shoulder. A fake arm could also be produced. By having the lines across the face and body help add to the effect of a robot girl.

These images also show sections of the body has been cut out to reveal the mechanics underneath. The left image shows sections all over the body, there are pipes in the neck that relate to the bone structure. On the right it shows a straight, precise cut in the body, to show a smaller mechanic skeleton underneath. It makes the skin appear to be fake.

I like how in both images it creates the idea that technology in the body is normal rather than having than being a threat (as seen in terminator). This relates to my chosen topic and how we are naturally becoming cyborgs.

This image has been digital manipulated to add circuit lines to the hand. They flow with the hand structure and vary in depth and size. Some areas as more vivid than others and have a glowing tone to them.

Here shows how silver can be applied to the body. On the left is a smooth even finish, which outlines the face. The shadows produced are more in block form.

On the right, the finish has more texture, perhaps produced using silver leaf. The is alot of depth as there is many tones displayed.

Here is a cyborg girl painting. It resembles the same idea that is shown in the film terminator, that there is mechanics under the skin and that he eye is not organic. The metal resembles the face structure but in a more straight and precise way. I feel that this idea could be applied to the face with the use of paint to create the depth illusion. A prosthetic piece could also be made that lays across the face. The eye is very noticable and glows blue.

This image is part of the series Weird Beauty by photographer Alexander Khokhlov, in collaboration with make-up artist Valeriya Kutsan. It is a very structured piece and gives the appearance that the lines have been layered ontop as they do not flow with the natural structure of the face shape. The black and white contrast makes the design very visible.

Here shows a similar idea to the previous image, however it includes coding. It is a UV tattoo and displays the idea of being processed and technology. It is activated by a UV lamp and that it also why the skin tone is blue.

From researching into different types of cyborg and robot forms, i feel that i have been able to get some more ideas towards my designs. I have also been able to see that silver is the main colour to create a shiny like tone to resemble metal. Glowing blue colours have been seen numerous times within the different images. I have seen painting, inplants and external ideas of how to incorporate technology into the body, so feel that there are many different directions I could experiment with in order to create a cyborg character.
